Without a blind, the Eagles easily spotted us. The adults were smart and kept cautious distance, but the juveniles were more curious and flew overhead more often. The adults still flew overhead, but were much stealthier and quick; in most cases, too quick to capture before they were behind the trees again.
I decided to spend some time at Calvert Cliffs State Park in Maryland before Hurricane Sandy wiped out the park and all the leaves. The day didn't go anything like I expected. Read the full story on my blog:
